Egg Hunt at Sunnycroft - April Challenges!

Hi there this is the first of my Aprill Challenge pages I've been working on this week.  We went to a National Trust Edwardian House just a mile from my flat which I fell in love with as soon as I saw it!  My personal challenge for this year is to get my health and mobility back so I can join as a volunteer, showing people around this beautiful House. It's going to be the subject of a few LO's I thin!!.  Sorry I'm rambling here.
This is my entry for Scrap for Help to use book pages on your page and I also took some inspiration from Lets Get Shabby Easter theme but they only allow you to upload to their site only and I do believe in giving credit to ALL my inspiration sources, hence I haven't linked my LO to their site.

The gorgeous colours of the eggs in the photo were the basis for my background paper which looks very springlike.  I had some test paper which I'd used to try out masking flowers with texture paste, I cut them away from the background and splattered some colour onto them...........the centres are text from a book punched into circles, so are the tiny butterflies flying across the page.  The little doilies are a free gift from Crafts beautiful along with the backing underneath.  The cute chicks on top were a gift from Val at Bastelmania.  Thank you so much Val for all my goodies.

I also took inspiration from the LESSology challenge who want you to make a cover this month.  Daisy made me a gorgeous card which I wanted to keep so I made it into a mini book to record our day out and built my layout around it.

  5. I love that this project is a mini-book within a layout. There are so many nice touches. I'm especially fond of the rows of adorable little butterflies. Really well done, and a lovely keepsake of a special Easter event.
