Changes Book - Challenges - ZeusandZoe,BITW and Scrap our Stash!

Well here it is finished! I'm entering it for the challenges at Zeus&Zoe, Bird is the Word- Change and Scrap our Stash - Homecoming.  I've used so many mixed media elements in making this and enjoyed it so much.  Thanks go to Mitra at MITRALEE, (you'll find the link here to Zeus&Zoe)  for sending me some fantastic goodies to work with and for encouraging me to start crafting again following my move.  I'll let the photos speak for themselves but if anyone wants to know any techniques or about any products just ask me.  Here goes........................
FRONT COVER

BACK COVER

PAGE TWO & THREE
PAGE FOUR with TAG detail

PAGE FIVE & SIX

PAGE SEVEN
My journalling is on the back of the tags on pages 7 and the back cover and reads -
"Six months ago, I thought I was never going to feel optimistic about my future. Trapped in a loveless marriage to a man I barely recognised as the man I married.  Heavy drinking was taking it's toll on his body and his refusal to recognise this or seek help plus the way he treated me filled me with despair.  The local alcohol addiction support unit showed me a way through and helped me to find a home here in Wellington. My life has changed and I love all the trees which surround the garden.  I love feeding the birds that come every day singing me awake and thank God for guiding me here."

I hope you like my book and thank you so much for any sweet comments you leave me, I'm so encouraged by you all. xx

  6. So happy to hear that you are on your way to living the life that was intended for you. Being surrounded by trees and bird that alone can have a healing effect, a bit like the sea I love the sound of the waves. Beautiful journal to love, you've created a work of art and hopefully now you are back onto the road of creativity, and what a wonderful friend Mitra is to have sent you something to help get you back into the swing of it all. Take Care Fi

  13. As promised on the SOS blog, I came to check out the rest of your fabulously gorgeous mini book. I got sidetracked yesterday and wasn't able to check out your blog but I made it today and boy, am I glad I did. The book is wonderful with so many details and special touches but I'm more touched by the story behind it. Good for you, Jeannie. I don't know you but I'm proud of you for having the courage to change your situation. I wish you much happiness (and sunshine in the UK) and hope that you will continue to create because you are very talented.

  14. Hello Jeannie, I've just popped over from SOS intrigued to see what the rest of the book is like and it's brilliant ... lots of beautiful - love the colours too. We have a lot in common, you and me, and our back stories are very similar ... the only difference is that it all happened for me just over 20 years ago. It takes a lot of courage to walk away and make a new life but it is so worth it :) Wishing you all the best for the future. Elizabeth
