I noticed this blogspot in the Craft Stamper and decided to do their latest challenge, which just fits in with what I was looking for to start my "It's all about ME" journal. The challenge is to use Monograms in some form so here goes. I called it "Identity Lost".
I had photos of me when I was christened and a Wedding photo when my surname changed, so used copies of these to cut my letters from. I positioned my baby face on my first J and surname S and my baby bootee on the A for Audrey (my middle name).
My hand on the J picture is pointing down to my wedding image.
Then I made the G from my wedding photo, the main part is my husband's face with my face on the bar of the letter G and showing my hand with my new wedding ring on it.I sprayed glimmer mist onto the resulting images(omitting faces) and then wrapped green ribbon and then pearls, threaded and wrapped round the letters too.
I mounted them onto a 12x 12 sheet from Prima, Nancy Kubo, Urban Cosmos. I stamped buttons in green and used them to trail around the top of the page and stamped the titling from clear alpha stamps. I trailed the letter S down the page to show my maiden name Smith being dropped for my married name. I used old vest buttons from my M-in-Laws's sewing box on my letter A and embellished the flowers with extras.
The layout of the letters follows how my signature was JAS and changed to JAG.
Hope you like it and thank you for looking.
That's a great page-love your interpretation of the Creative Type Challenge!
