A Card and a Baby Album!
I made this card for the lovely lady in the photo who has been one of my guardian angels since I moved to Wellington. She works tirelessly for the Methodist Church, running the Ladies Circle which meets every month, the Craft & Chat which meets every two weeks plus she hosts a telephone support service to anyone who needs a friendly ear and also runs a craft group at the local retirement home. She does all this with a smile although she has a very bad back and is in constant pain, walking with sticks!
She has a new grandson so I made up a new album to keep his baby photos in. The album wasn't completed, instead, I packaged all the bits and embellishments in a parcel with an invite to come to mine for an afternoon when we can complete it together over tea and a cake. She was so touched by this and I shall really enjoy it when she comes. I will post a piccie or two when it happens. I used my die cutting to make some of the embellishments in the album and was linking it with the "To Die for" Challenge at Lisa Somerville's blog Splendiferous Creations but I'm too late to enter it for the giveaway.
Hope you've had a great weekend with some sunny weather. My Mom is still in hospital, unable to walk until the surgeon is satisfied she has healed and then hopefully she will be back home.
Thank you for looking and leaving me some Blog love. I really do love all your comments.
