A LIttle Junk Journal - LESSology and Do More With Less Challenges

Hi everyone I hope the sun is shining brightly for you today.  It is beautiful here in Shropshire but I know other parts of the world are having some pretty calamitous storms and deluges.  My heart goes out to all the people affected by them!

I'm chasing my tail trying to upload this Junk Journal for the challenge at Yvonne Yams blog  with Sharhul Niza at Do More With Less. The deadline is like ....NNOOWWWW!

I will try to put this into a slide show when I have more time.
With  LESSology you have to make a project using beads and at  Do More With Less.make a junk journal with stitching.  My hands are too arthritic to do much hand sewing these days but I got the old sewing machine out to help me with this one. I made it from used colour run sheets for the washing machine and an eclectic mix of this and that.  I loved Sharhul's idea to put leaves etc into plastic/ cellophane bags and have made a few of them.  It is by no means finished as I kept finding more bits to use and thinking of more techniques to display them, it's going to be an ongoing project I think.

Thank you for looking and hope you all have a nice weekend!

  3. I like the colors you have chosen in your journals, and the see-through effect on some of the pages.. Kind of makes them look ethereal and fairy like. I have thought of taking the plasticine see-through thingies they put on envelopes where a name and address shows through and somehow remove those from the envelope and use them in journals, either by using a sewing machine to sew them into a journal with a little special something in between the fabric and the see-through plasticine using a tiny picture, or leaf, pressed flower, feather or something. Using the re-cycled part of the plasticine in an envelope.
I just need to do it!!!
Thank you for the inspiration, and thanks for stopping by the French Blog Party...it was so much fun to learn more about France myself!
