As usual I am late with this!! It's been on my desk laid out for 2 weeks and every time I went to stick it all down I changed my mind and put it back. Then another bout of this virus that's been plaguing me for weeks reared it's head so on the back burner it went again. I'm not happy with it now but just need to get it off my desk. I used the sketch at another freakin scrappy challenge to make this page. The photos are the originals which I've taken a copy from as I still haven't got around to renewing my colour ink cartridge yet. My kids in 1977 & '78. They changed so much in a year when they had their photo taken with Santa at their Dad's Christmas Works party. I only had the two actual photos (the sketch uses 6) but loved the papers from Graphic45 The Nutcracker pad, which I made into tags to add as stand-in photos.
My title Lost in Time refers to the fact they're all grown up now and you tend to lose some of the memories you have of them at that age. They both grew up so much in that 12 months. The title-some little alpha tiles were threaded onto the wire with beads as spaces and tied to the tag. I trimmed the tree tag with a handmade clay star and some little baubles made by wiring some beads together and shaping around the tree.
My journaling is hidden underneath the tags as my handwriting isn't so good but I wanted to hand write it so my kids will have it when they inherit their albums. It reads Tag 1- Matthew could never wait to open his presents and used to be quite ill with excitement at what was under the tree. Tag 2- He wanted to join the Army.when he grew up! Tag 3- Paula had 2 dreams when she was younger. To be a ballerina or a show jumper with her own horse. Tag 4- She was growing into a beautiful young woman and I was so very proud of her.I hope you like it and there is still time to enter this challenge if you hurry, just follow the link. Thank you for looking and any comments you leave me.
